Process

Here is how I typically work with a customer :

Phase 1 : Understanding of Project

This is a first discussion to get to know you and your project, so I can issue you a quote. Once we agree on working together under the conditions expressed in the quote, we can move to phase 2.

Phase 2 : Preparation

  • Interview : This step is crucial because it allows you to express your musical expectations, which will help establish the musicological parameters for the composition. I will then synthesise these elements into a brief that will guide the entire composition process.

  • Research : how to translate the brief into music

Phase 3 : Composition

  • Context: key, scale, time signature, tempo

  • Vertical composition (chord progression)

  • Horizontal composition (melody, bass line, etc.)

  • Rhythmic part (beat)

  • Arrangement (musical story)

Phase 4 : Production

  • Instrumentation/orchestration

  • Sound effects programming

  • Recording

Phase 5 : Delivery

  • Creation of demos: three proposals/revisions*

  • Final delivery in 24-bit FLAC digital format**

  • Licence agreement : this contract gives you legal certainty about how, when and where you can use the composition.

* : included in the package : 1 initial demo + 2 revisions (optional : +10% of the total price per additional revision)

** : optional : mixing and/or mastering (not included in the package)

OTHER WAYS TO WORK TOGETHER

Collaborations

There are a thousand ways to collaborate, and if you are an artist, it doesn't matter what industry you are in (music, visual arts, films, etc) I'm always open to discussion, and if I like the project, we could work together and do something incredible. Who knows?

Click "Let's Collaborate !" and see what happens.

Also there could be some funding opportunities from public authorithies depending on your industry and your country of residence.

Mastering

I usually only master my own tracks, but you can always ask for a quote.

Feedback

If you have a music project and want professional, structured feedback, I can provide it. You will receive a detailed analysis of your piece of music, including a review of: your theme, your arrangement, the energy flow, your choice of sounds, the mixdown, etc.

You will then receive actionable advice to elevate your track that goes far beyond a simple assessment from family or friends.
